How to Install LaunchPoint Web Client
The Dealer can install LaunchPoint from the System Galaxy Install media (USB or ISO file) onto any PC that can connect to the system.
PREREQUISITES:

You must have obtained the Galaxy Install Media (ISO/USB).

The Dealer must fully install System Galaxy (including Steps 1, 2, and 3);
This means prerequisites, database/sql components, System Galaxy software and services. -
Dealer must know the Database Login and connection parameters in order to complete the LaunchPoint installation.

System Galaxy database must be online and able to be connected to.

You must register System Galaxy.

System Galaxy services must be running on the main communication server.

Microsoft IIS must be installed from the System Galaxy USB/ISO - and must be installed before you install LaunchPoint.
IMPORTANT: To set up IIS options for LaunchPoint operation, you must install IIS from the Galaxy IIS Installer (USB/ISO). Installing IIS from Windows causes incorrect operation.
STEPS
ASSUMPTIONS: These steps assume you have already installed the System Galaxy software (including database and services), on their appropriate computers/servers.

Verify that the Galaxy Database server is up and online.

Verify that the core GCS Services are running on the main communication server.
Core services includes: GCS ClientGW service, GCS Comm service, GCS DBWriter Service, GCS Event service and GCS Web API service. By default, the core GCS services are configured to start/run automatically when they are installed and will all typically be running on the same computer/server.

Launch the System Galaxy Install Media (USB or ISO) on the Client PC where you want to install LaunchPoint.
Note: if you are installing from the Main ISO file, then double-click the Main.ISO file to launch it as a drive. It should be located in the PC Download folder or appropriate location where you downloaded the ISO file).

Double-click the SGsetup file (SGsetup.hta) to open the Installer splash-screen.

Select Install Prerequisites from the Installer splash-screen. (mandatory step)

Select “Step 2) Install Databases” from the Installer splash-screen. (mandatory step)

The installer app will display the Requirements Checker screen that shows pass/fail or warnings for mandatory components.

If something is missing, the Requirements Checker will indicate what needs to be corrected before you proceed. Correct failures before you click CONTINUE .

You can close out by clicking the X in top corner of the screen. Then return to this step to recheck the requirements.

When you are satisfied with the Requirements results, you can press CONTINUE.

Click the NEW INSTALL button

Click the button for Option 2 - [ For ALL Galaxy Workstations ... ]

Click NEXT to advance through the Native SQL Client setup until you click FINISH.

Select Install IIS Web Server (option under the Web Applications section).
Important: You must run the IIS installer to get correct options. Do not use Windows IIS installer.

The IIS installer will automatically check that the correct options are set.

When the IIS Installer is finished, it will display a message that provides a test link.

Click on localhost link to open the IIS test page in your browser.

Select the Install LaunchPoint Web Module (under the Web Applications section).

Click NEXT.

Click NEXT after you select “I accept agreement” option - print as needed.

Click NEXT after you enter customer information - as needed.

Enter the Database server connection parameters before clicking NEXT.

Enter the DB Server connection string. Use the BROWSE button as needed.

Select Server Authentication = and the default Logins and Passwords will populate.

If the customer has changed the default passwords for the SA and Client Runtime logins, then you must enter the correct Login credentials in this screen.
NOTE: This will be the same parameters that the SG Software uses to connect. -
Click NEXT when ready.

Select “Complete Install” option and click NEXT.

Click INSTALL to begin installing.

Click FINISH and a startup icon will be installed on your desktop.
