This page provides instructions to download and install the ASSA Lock Configuration Tool (LCT Tool) minimum v 4.0.25.

 

 

Install the LCT Tool

The Lock Configuration Tool (LCT) is used to create a lock profile and configure the lock settings for ASSA IP and WiFi Locks to connect to the DSR Server.

 

Prerequisites

 

1. Laptop/PC with a Serial USB Com Port (Computer must be able to reach the Locks.)

2. Serial USB Cable should be provided with Locks.

3. LCT Tool minimum version 4.0.25 Install Program (downloaded or distributed)

4. You must create a Lock Profile in the LCT Tool before you can configure the locks.

   Important: Changing the connection rate on WiFi Locks will impact battery lifespan. Consult the manufacturer's specs on expected battery life. Default rate is to connect every 24 hours.
   

 

INSTALL STEPS

1. Obtain the LCT Tool by downloading it from the ASSA support website.

2. You must install the Assa LCT Tool (min. ver. 4.0.25) on a PC/Laptop that can reach the Locks using the Serial USB cable. 

3. Accept the license agreement.

4. Accept default settings (recommended) to finish the installation.

   The LCT shortcut will be installed on the Windows desktop screen.

5. Using the manufacturer’s Serial USB Cable, connect to an ASSA Lock (WIFI or IP-Enabled ) with the laptop's USB COM Port.
   You can only connect to one lock at a time.

6. You can launch the LCT Tool from the LCT Desktop Icon.
